On days when I have to go do some yelling in court, I like to suit up and wear a shoe built for stabbing in eyeballs / looming over my opponents. But, like, in a fun way, right?

Mixing prints is not as hard as you think. A little clashing is okay but make it look intentional but making sure the items share a common color. Again, poke around some street style to get ideas. Done right, print mixes can elevate the most basic pieces into “you’re so stylish.”
Start easy with “level one” black and white, dots and stripes. This is BabyGap easy.
For today’s courtroom temper-tantrum I’m wearing a “level two” print mix, which has layers of color, print, and texture. (Someday I’ll do some”level three”and get crazzzzy.)

These killer Nicholas Kirkwood heels play up the mixed print in the suit and blouse. You automatically rule the school in shoes like this. They were originally $1200 but I snagged them at Theoutnet.com for $250. Except I told my husband they were $150 so shhhhhh. Still a total deal and what does he know anyway.
